Sky Vision, the international distribution and production arm of Sky, today announced strong worldwide sales for its slate of clip content acquired from Bellum Entertainment in the US.
Sky Vision began its partnership with Bellum Entertainment in 2014 and has since picked up more than 260 hours of content from the Californian-based production company. Great Escapes is the latest series to launch.
What Went Down (104 x 30’) has sold to 124 territories. The series captures the best UGC clips from around the world. From epic fails and comic mishaps to shocking near-misses and exhilarating stunts, each half-hour episode is carefully crafted to produce maximum fun, with returning segments to keep the audience engaged. Sales include Seven Network in Australia, Blue Ant Media in Canada, BBC Worldwide in Poland, Discovery Focus in Italy and Globosat in Brazil.
Another international hit is Animals Unleashed (104 x 30’), a user-generated show which features the most unpredictable and hilarious animal clips from around the world. From a panda picking a fight with a businessman, to an angry ostrich eating a reporter’s bowtie - each episode is packaged into segments, features or even games and comes with highly entertaining narration. The show has been sold into 109 territories, including Channel 4 in the UK, NBC Universal in Asia, Fox International in Sweden and Norway, TV2 in Denmark and Sony in Africa.
Also performing well is People Behaving Badly (104 x 22’). A laugh-out-loud tour of the embarrassing, out-of-control and generally ridiculous things that people do under pressure, from elaborate practical jokes to public meltdowns and mishaps. It has been sold into 54 territories including MTG in Norway, Polsat Play in Poland and Sony in Africa.
SBS in Norway, MTG in Latvia and Polsat Play in Poland have all acquired Kids do the Craziest Things (104 x 30’) - a classic collection of home-movie clips of kids around the world. From the boy who sees his newborn sister for the first time and says “we found a baby!”, to the well-meaning child who uses the hose to wash his parents’ car from the inside.
