PATRICK MELROSE and THERE SHE GOES win BAFTA awards

The winners of the British Academy Television (BAFTA) awards were announced yesterday. Sky Original Patrick Melrose picked up the Best Mini-Series gong, with Benedict Cumberbatch also taking home the Best Actor award. Patrick Melrose has previously won the Best Writer and Best Production Designer awards at last month’s BAFTA Television Craft Awards.

Another note-worthy winner of last night’s BAFTA awards was Jessica Hynes. She won Best Female performance in a comedy programme for her role in the BBC Four comedy There She Goes. Hynes played the role of Emily, the mother of a nine-year-old girl Rosie with severe learning disabilities.
