This four-part series provides an unprecedented look into Ireland's largest prison with more than 800 inmates - and even includes first-time access to the sex offenders' wing. As well as covering individual stories about selected inmates from Ireland and overseas such as Colombian drug dealers it provides a major look at how a prison is actually run and shares its focus on rehabilitation, rather than punishment. Cameras capture a range of activities such as pottery, yoga, education classes and preparing for a Christmas pantomime. The female Governor and her team are followed as they manage tensions, feuds and drama, working hard to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the prisoners. It's a sensitive portrayal of prison life from both sides of the bars and a fascinating insight into the issues surrounding prisons today.
